NSC 42D 03/13/09 UNCLASS21 Current Status CNIC –Contract update: A. Contractor bid on 32 installations: currently servicing 70. B. Training classes are experiencing an effective rate of 64% utilization seats. –Funding status: A. Not funded this year for surge/redeploy. Instructor travel is already spent for FY09. –Range status: A. Currently have 55 ranges certified. CFPS –Number of Coaches Available: CFPS has 51 full time and 25 part time coaches –Surge Capability: Cape Fox uses a modeling program to indentify routine training. The Fleet must provide the regions with their surge requirements. –Trainer Motorcycle Availability: CFPS has ordered the motorcycles and is in the process of placing them throughout the regions. –Simulator Status: CNIC has purchased 64 Simulators to distribute to the Regions Echelon IIs –Riders Trained to Date: Current NSC motorcycle census is utilized to identify required training numbers. Fleet commands now need to track their riders by names, requirements and geographical location. –Training Requirements:. ESAMS is being adapted to replace the Navy Census. A working group has been established to move this forward. CNIC 02/13/09
