Words from the Team Leader of ASME Section Revitalization Your ASME leadership believes very strongly that every member deserves the professional benefits available through strong local Section activities. While most of our geographic Sections are doing very well, some are in vital need of volunteers to work with their local membership. If you have not been receiving meeting messages from your Section leadership, then likely you are in an area that needs some fresh direction. We invite you to become involved in helping to bring meaningful local membership activities to your area. Working with other ASME members on the local Section level can be an exceedingly rewarding experience. We do have many new organizational tools available to our volunteer leaders. If you are presently in an inactive geographic area, we are willing to offer one full year ASME membership dues (Awarded September 2008) to two members per Section willing to step forward and lead your currently inactive Section through a successful 2007 – 2008 operating year. To qualify for this offer, your Section must be on our current list of inactive Sections, and satisfy certain criteria to earn a Section Merit Funding score. Please contact myself or your District Leader for additional details. Thanks Dennis A. Armstrong, Team Leader, ASME Section Revitalization
