Snow! By: Owen Nell

I wondered if snow would melt better in regular water or in salt water.

I put a spoonful of snow in water and one spoonful of snow in salt water.

My conclusion was that the snow melted faster in the saltwater. Why?

When you add salt to snow and ice it lowers the freezing point which makes it melt easier.

People use salt to melt ice off their driveways.

The freezing point for water is 32 degrees Fahrenheit or 0 degrees Celcius.

Thanks for Watching!!!
