Many businesses buy advertising space in newspapers, magazines, the yellow pages, or radio advertisements The cost of buying ad space varies depending on the size, placement, and publication. The style, fonts, and images in ads affect the way customers see your products. Radio and television are typically much more expensive than newspapers. Why is it important to understand what your customers read before buying ad space?

The Internet offers many opportunities for marketing and promotions, from web presence to viral marketing Web pages are inexpensive and provide a lot of space for information. Compare your competitors’ pages to learn more about what to say and show. Having a web page isn’t enough—it’s also important to drive customers to your site. What type of customers could be reached most effectively using online marketing strategies?
