SUN How big is the sun? In the Sahara Desert the sun shines 97 percent of the possible daylight hours.

Clouds How do clouds form? When the cloud gets higher, it might turn into a thundercloud.

Rain How does rain fall from a cloud? Rain is a major component of the water cycle and is responsible for depositing most of the fresh water on the planet.

Thunderstorms H ow does thunder and lightning happen? The cloud that goes along with a thunderstorm is called a cumulonimbus.

Hail How big can hail get? Hail can get up to two pounds.

Tornado How does a tornado form? A very strong tornado can lift a car about 300 feet in the air.
