Desert Abbigail Arias, Christopher Ragalye

Where is ecosystem located? They are mainly found in America. A desert covers Nevada. The same desert It also covers parts of Arizona.

Describe the abiotic factors of your ecosystem Warm air from equator makes it very hot. Very little rain fall that amount of rain fall is 10 inches a year. Some deserts are very cold at night. Hot during the day.

Producer: Saguaro cactus. How does your producer rely on other organisms in the desert to survive? Nurse plant gives saguaro shelter. Bats, birds, and bees eats seeds and drop them and they become a cactus. Field mice drop seeds after eating berries.

How do other organisms of your ecosystem rely on your producer to survive? Birds make homes in saguaro cacti(elf owl + white winged dove) Bats, birds get food from saguaro cacti Insects get food from saguaro cacti Scorpions make homes in saguaro cacti. Snakes get shade in saguaro cacti Pack rats lay young in saguaro cacti

How do humans affect your ecosystem? People get fruit from saguaro cacti. They spilled oil into the desert. People drive automobiles in the desert

Choose one biotic or abiotic factor in your ecosystem & describe how a change in one of these could your ecosystem. Change. Our change is weather - making it cold and have more winter like tempatures if we did that the saguaro cacti would freeze. The snakes shade would be gone. The bats would not have no food.

other interesting facts The world’s highest temperature in the Sahara Desert is 136 ⁰ F Did you know that there is such thing as the honey pot ant? When another ant wants a drink the honey pot ant spits up the honey.
