Lesson: Internet Safety Part of Week One in Business Office Technologies Instructor Janet Canning

Internet Safety is No Laughing Matter Every day children and adults are exploited over the internet. This lesson is about becoming more aware of how to protect yourself, family, friends, and coworkers from becoming victims of those that thrive on exploiting and accessing your personal information on the internet. This lesson is in three parts

Log Into the online classroom In week 2, click on assignment: Internet Safety Read through the section Create a document with a table embedded You are creating a checklist to track your internet safety with your profiles on all of your web services Assignment Part 1

Read and follow any online articles View videos and take notes Use these tips to help you keep your internet profiles safe Part 2

When you have read and viewed any videos and done some independent research on your own personal internet safety mission, participate in an online discussion. Go to the discussions link at the left and look for the discussion on Internet Safety. Extra credit is always a good thing. Take some time to find an article of your own. Reflect upon your persona lessons you have learned about your safety on the internet. Part 3
