Creating Powerful PowerPoint Presentations
Questions to ask before you begin. Why build a slide presentation? Who is your audience? What do you want to get across to your audience? What materials do you have available?
Planning and Building Begin with a concept map. List all ideas you want to include Order the Select your materials Build a layout for your ideas Create your design Insert slides and hyperlinks Click on word.
Create your design The background is very important.
Create your design The background is very important.
Contrast You should use a dark background with light text.
Beware of gradients They can look bad when they are projected.
The type of font is also important This is a font called Times New Roman. It has little curves at the ends of each letter. It is a serif font. When using a computer, the image is created by pixels. These little curves make the pixilated image hard to read. This is a font called Ariel. It is the same size as the font above but it is a sans serif font (without the little curves). Notice how much easier it is to read.
Use motion, sounds, and graphics wisely.
Power Point How do I do that?
