Wireless1 The classic problem, Page cannot be displayed. First thing to find out, if the user is connect to the internet. One way to resolve this is checking the two computer icon on the task bar. Red X means disconnect. First thing you need to do is to reconnect. 1

Wireless7 Ping / Nslookup Things to note Ip address, gateway and DNS assigned. Verified the ip and gate way can be pinged, if problem still remains last thing to check is dns. For win98 you can try ping a website to see if it resolved the name to ip and windows 2000 type nslookup website. If the is no resolved search for accellerator program or firewall. Wireless33 Incorrect ip address Ip conflict reported. You must first find where the conflict is, to do this open the event viewer under administrative tools. Open the system and check any red circle marked event. The system usually records the ip and mac address of the offending computer or device. Try to locate that device and make sure this ip is not static. If it is receiving a xxx.xxx address you need to know the gateway and DHCP server address (ref page 6). Have customer ping the gateway then do a arp –a this will give the mac address of the offend device, which you can then lookup in Rodopi.
