 Theater schedules seldom allow time for the proper maintenance that is essential for theater safety, and trained technicians are sometimes unsure about rigging maintenance requirements. Stagecraft provides a cost-effective solution. Our experienced professionals can examine your rigging system, prepare a detailed report and, if needed, provide a budget for rigging renovation. We can also provide additional training. Lighting systems require a different kind of analysis. Working with resident technicians, Stagecraft lighting experts can evaluate your system and make recommendations for improving safety, speeding changeovers, and taking advantage of new developments in lighting technology.

 Lighting is on a steady mood and will not mess up a play.  Theater lighting safety and training classes.  Good housekeeping and clean and orderly work areas and equipment are fundamental to accident and fire prevention. Assigned work areas and equipment are to be cleaned and placed in order by each user at the end of each work period.  Horseplay of any kind is forbidden.

 You are not to operate equipment to which you have not been assigned.  Theatre facilities may not be used unless a Supervisor (Shop Supervisor, Resident Technical Director, Resident Lighting Designer, or Lighting TA) or delegated representative is on duty. There must be at least two individuals present at all times when the theatre facility is in use.

 All accidents, including minor injuries and all hazardous conditions are to be reported immediately to the Supervisor or their representative.  Jewelry, ties and clothing which, in the opinion of the Supervisor, is hazardous must not be worn while working with machinery in the shop, or on ladders, catwalks, or other lighting areas. All users must wear full shoes (not sandals) and at least shirt and full length pants. Long hair must be held back securely with a head band or a net. Medallions or jewelry hanging from the neck must not be worn.

 Hand tools are to be used only for the purpose for which they are designed.  Defective tools must not be used. Turn them in for replacement.  Defective cable must not be used. Turn damaged cable in for replacement and repair.

 In conclusion, I would like to say that Theatre lighting safety is really important to make a play or have a safe class.
