Trapezoid Properties The parallel sides are its bases, and the nonparallel sides its legs. Two angles that share a base of a trapezoid are base angles.

Theorem The base angles of an isosceles trapezoid are congruent.

Theorems The diagonals of an isosceles trapezoid are congruent. The diagonals of a kite are perpendicular.
