Getting Started with Movie Maker

Inserting Media into your Movie Maker Project Gather all media into a single folder Task 1: Capture video Import video, pictures AND audio files.

Inserting Media into your Movie Maker Project Imported media will be in your Collection pane Items can be selected individually, by using CTRL +, Select All, etc.

Inserting Media into your Movie Maker Project Imported video automatically gets clipped into segments. – When placed side-by-side in the project, there will be seamless transition NOTE: Windows Movie Maker DOES NOT accept.mp4 video.

Saving your Project Save your EDITABLE (*.MSWMM) project frequently. Place this file in your Movie Projects folder with the rest of your media. A RED X will show up on items that cannot be located and will need to Browse for it.

Saving your Project/Movie Save your project frequently (*.MSWMM) – Go to File> Save Project – CTRL+S – Can still be edited or make changes to the file Your final movie project (*.mov) – Task 3: Finish Movie> Save to my computer – Can no longer be edited without pulling it back into Movie Maker to be remixed.

Producing your Movie Task 3: Finish Movie – Choose Save to my computer. – Using the Save Movie Wizard, to finish your movie.
