The Mystery of the Stone L.O – To construct a range of sentences with interesting sentence openings.

Pairs Come up with examples of the various words on the sheet. For a mystery story.

In pairs Come up with a riddle about the stone that was taken from the body. This riddle should tell people how dangerous the stone is in the wrong hands. The riddle stays in the original box with the stone.

The story of the stone How was the stone created? OR found for the first time? What are the stone’s magic powers? What has happened to the people who have possessed the stone? It has just been stolen again – what will the stone do next?

Storyboarding How did the stone get created? Individually create a six box storyboard using the seven different sentence openers at least once.

Post it notes You will be given a post it note. Stick it onto your storyboard and move around the room. Your task is to comment on how well people have used the different types of sentences.
