NextPrevious PROJECT DESCRIPTION This project will develop and implement an integrated geo-information product, combining data bases, analytical tools, and public access components, supporting the redesign of the existing energy system in the underdeveloped regions of Slovenia bordering Austria and Italy to use more local renewable wood biomass resources.

NextPrevious PROJECT DESCRIPTION The information system will support awareness building and marketing, aiming at the introduction of biomass technology for heating and energy production, an integrated impact assessment and economic analysis for biomass technology projects, and the continuing management of a sustainable local energy resource base.

NextPrevious PROJECT DESCRIPTION Strengthening the local economy by the efficient utilisation of local, renewable resources and the creation of employment opportunities in this sector while minimising environmental impacts are the overall objectives of the project.
