Operations began in 1995, removing flagstone from two pits.
Expanded to a large mining operation in 2000
2010, BLM challenged Flagstone as a locatable mineral
By 2012, Operator entered an agreement to relinquish claims and reclaim and BLM would allow claims to be filed near another quarry.
Fall of 2013, reclamation work began on the two quarries Thousands of cubic yards of waste rock and overburden moved back into the two pits
Additional material used to completely backfill the pits and eliminate highwalls
After regrading, all areas were broadcast seeded wih species that would be beneficial to the greater Sage Grouse
Vegetation is establishing on reclaimed areas.
