WHICH HEALTH DOMAIN DOES THE SCENARIO BELONG IN? Scenario #1 Ty eats nutritious foods from the various food groups each day. Scenario #2 Suzy looks forward to family night out, when she and her parents eat at her favorite restaurant and check out a movie at the local theater. Scenario #3 Becky loves the month of October, when the leaves start to change colors and the air begins to cool. It gives her a warm and cozy feeling all over.

Sam was excited to be invited to her friend’s birthday party. She asked her mom if she could go and her mom said yes, as long as she got all of her homework and chores done by Friday. It was only Tuesday, so Sam had plenty of time to finish everything. She spent that night looking through her closet and deciding what she was going to wear to the party.

On Wednesday, Sam had to stay after school for a Wilderness Club meeting and then she had to babysitt for the neighbors in the evening. She thought she could get some homework done while she was babysitting, but the kids were wild and took all of her time and attention. On Thursday, Sam was going to do her chores, but her favorite TV shows were on that night. After watching TV, she was going to start her homework but when she looked in her backpack, she realized she’d left her assignment at school.

When Sam got home from school on Friday, her mother asked if her homework and chores were done. Sam had to admit that she hadn’t started on anything yet. Now, she only had four hours to do everything before the party. She felt very STRESSED! What could Sam have done to prevent STRESS? Has there ever been a time when you felt like Sam? Which Health Domain does stress fall under? How does negative stress impact the Wellness Triangle?
