Integer  An integer is a whole number (not a fraction) that can be positive, negative, or zero.

Rational Number  a number that can be expressed exactly by a ratio of two integers.

Scientific Notation  a method for expressing a given quantity as a number having significant digits necessary for a specified degree of accuracy, multiplied by 10 to the appropriate power.

Perfect Square  a polynomial that is the square of another polynomial.

Irrational Number  a number that cannot be exactly expressed as a ratio of two integers.

Real Numbers  a rational number or the limit of a sequence of rational number, as opposed to a complex number.

Density Property  The density property tells us that we can always find another real number that lies between any two real numbers

Adjacent Angles  Two angles having the same vertex and having a common side between them.

Coefficient  Physics. a number that is constant for a given substance, body, or process under certain specified conditions, serving as a measure of one of its properties

Distance Formula  Any algebraic expression that gives the distance between two points in a particular coordinate system in a particular number of dimensions

Domain  a region characterized by a specific feature, type of growth or wildlife

Hypotenuse  the side of a right triangle opposite the right angle.

Legs of a right Triangle  endless number of examples of right triangles. One of the most famous is the "3, 4, 5 triangle.

Rational Number  a number that can be expressed exactly by a ratio of two integers.

Range  an area equipped with targets for practice in shooting weapons: a rifle range.  the extent to which or the limits between which variation is possible: the range of steel prices; a wide range of styles.

Scientific Notation  a method for expressing a given quantity as a number having significant digits necessary for a specified degree of accuracy, multiplied by 10 to the appropriate power,

Slope  to have or take an inclined or oblique direction or angle considered with reference to a vertical or horizontal plane; slant.

Prism  Optics. a transparent solid body, often having triangular bases, used for dispersing light into a spectrum or for reflecting rays of light.

Scatter plot  a graphic representation of vicariate data as a set of points in the plane that have Cartesian coordinates equal to corresponding values of the two variants.

Slope intercept form  The goal of this lesson is to use the slope and a point to write the equation of a line in this form (y = mix + b )
