What is Software Piracy Software piracy is the illegal copying and or distribution of someone’s software or software ideas.

What Can Prevent Software Piracy? Many organizations such as the RIAA, MPAA, and FBI enforce the punishment for software piracy as they are some of the largest companies and organizations that deal with problems involving software piracy

What Software Can You Legally Download Off the Internet Many websites may say that there downloads are legal, but many are, if fact, illegal. Most of the time it is better to pay for what software you want. You can’t always trust what a websites says or does.

What are the Penalties of Committing Software Piracy The penalties to pirating software could be: Depending on severity you could receive only hundreds of dollars to hundred-thousands of dollars in fines Five or more years in prison Besides many federal government consequences, Many types of pirated software can contain Computer viruses
