Art and the Church Churches are full of art. Paintings, sculpture, wall paintings, ornate metalwork, carved stone, mosaic – the list is endless. Some of the art is representative and tells a story. Other art is abstract and is based on pattern.

Consider Find a piece of art within the church that you find interesting. What is it? When was it made? What does it represent? What is it trying to say? Why do you like it?
