Hickory House Description Hickory House is a skilled nursing facility for the elderly. Therapy room where OT’s and PT’s work together to work on activities of daily living. It is mainly an out-patent facility.

Job description Help OT’s and PT’s conduct therapy. Work on fall prevention with patients. Work to improve fine motor skills with patients. Help patients with activities of daily living

Improving Activities Of Daily Living To improve on activities of daily living the therapists focus on balance and fine motor control . Stranding techniques such as placing pegs in a peg board wile standing works on fine motor control wile working on balance Therapists introduce tasks that will help with the patients ability to live an independent lifestyle.
