Pathway 1 Aimed at the A*/A grade students Yr 12 4 AS and General Studies Yr 134 A2 and EPQ Students will qualify for this pathway if they achieve APS (GCSE) of 6.4+ Pathway 1
Pathway 2 Aimed at the A/B/C grade students Yr 124 AS and General Studies Yr 133 or 4 A2 Students will qualify for this pathway if they achieve APS (GCSE) of Pathway 2
Pathway 3 Aimed at the B/C/D grade students Yr 121 AS and 3 Level 3 qualifications Yr 131 A2 and 2 or 3 Level 3 qualifications Students will qualify for this pathway if they achieve APS (GCSE) of Pathway 3
Pathway 4 Aimed at the vocational students from KS4 A combination of Level 3 qualifications over the 2 years Students will qualify for this pathway if they achieve APS (GCSE) of 5 and below. Pathway 4
THE RUSSELL GROUP: Oldest 24 Universities Eg : Birmingham expects 7A*s at GCSE (as well as top A levels) to do Medicine Eg: Imperial requires A* in Maths to do Computer Science Eg: Economics requires A* in A Level Maths (many Russell Group Uni’s) NB: if you want to do Law at Uni- you should NOT choose Law at A Level!!
