IDAS™ RC-FS10 Remote Communicator IDAS™ is Icom’s digital land mobile radio system based on the NXDN™ digital common air interface and now adds IP networking capability to the system components already available. The IDASTM Conventional IP Network system allows repeater IP interlinking as well as a simple virtual radio / dispatcher solution without relying on third party solutions. RC-FS10 Remote Communicator IDAS™ Conventional IP Network IP Network RC-FS10 Remote Communicator Optional RC-FS10 CT-24 CT-23 SM-25 The RC-FS10 Remote Communicator creates a virtual radio / simple dispatcher on a Windows® PC. The PC software provides a minimum set of programmable dispatcher console-like functions including simple repeater control. The RC-FS10 consists of the virtual radio software and the CT-24 Digital Voice Converter unit, which digitally compress the voice into a digital data stream. The optional CT-23 PTT Microphone Adapter allows the PTT button of the connected SM-25 Desktop Microphone or HM-152 Hand Microphone to work like on a real radio. Any off-the-shelf PC headset may be used without the CT-23 but the operator will need to mouse-click the virtual PTT button on the screen to transmit.
