Educational Laboratories A myriad of Educational Laboratories can be found on the Camp grounds. Labs cover invertebrates, algae, sharks and even microscopic organisms!!!! All labs are hands on and interactive and are led by college graduates in the respective fields of marine biology and oceanography.

Snorkeling Just seeing the kids squirm into the wetsuits is worth it

Underwater Exploration Day time snorkeling is an ADVENTURE!!! Students get to wear buoyancy wetsuits and can snorkel away to their hearts content. They will see garibaldis, kelp beds, crustaceans and many other interesting living organisms and sites. Nighttime snorkeling is for the DARING!!! Other Activities at Cherry Cove Astronomy and nature hike!!! Learn about navigating with the stars and walk among the native flora and fauna of Catalina!!!! Mountain Hikes. Come see the decomposing bison. YES!!! Geology Students will be introduced to geological forces and how they helped to create Catalina Island.

How do we get there? Bus to the dock Ferry to the Catalina and back Bus back home again

Where do they sleep? Cherry Cove campsite is a Boy Scout Camp The students sleep in sturdy canvas tents in their sleeping bags or bedding.
