Tasks Provide information –What is available: systems, software –Central portal with links to other information Promote and advertise –Promote conference –Services available by the association (training etc.) –Tool for promotion to generate income –Advertising (pay for it – tricky business)? Look at other association websites for ideas –Both for contents and for structure
Layout and Structure Use layout that is familiar Internationalization, local information and languages User friendliness –On going work within WP3 (jointly with WP1) Structure –Entry points based on main user groups (users, researchers) Internal section for members –Shrink the internal part to minimum (work docs, management) From Plone to WIKIPEDIA –Visitors not only get information but can contribute –Discussion board!
