A time for reflection

A time for being with the family and friends

A time for helping others.

A time for fasting during the day. And a time to eat before sunrise and after sunset.

Some Mapledown students are celebrating Ramadan. Some pupils are fasting. That means that some pupils are not eating any food during the day.

At the end of the month there is a big party called Eid ul Fitr. This is the festival of the breaking of the fast.

People wear new clothes and give lots of presents And also give money to people who need help.
