School Times Breakfast club: 8.15am School Times : Class starts promptly at 8.50am Break Time : Fresh fruit / Vegetable Water / Milk Water / Milk Dinner Time : Dinner tickets are £2.50 per day. Home Time: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 3:00pm Friday 2:00pm

School Uniform  Full school uniform is required  Black shoes must be worn in school  All parts of uniform should be clearly labelled with child’s name and class (including tie)  White polo shirts and maroon shorts  No jewellery is allowed during P.E. Earrings must be removed or covered.

Absences & Appointments Absences & Appointments  Please try to keep appointments outside teaching hours, where possible  Any absences require a written note  Alternatively, phone the secretary.

HomeworkHomework  Reading nightly from Monday to Thursday  Encourage independent reading.  Spellings nightly for Friday test  Numeracy and Literacy homework every night.  As well as Reading Records, written homework must be signed.  Encourage independence with homework. Religious Education Religious Education Children will follow the Alive O programme. They will have opportunities to develop their faith through  Story  Prayer  Mime  Art  Poems  Songs The contribution of parents is crucial to the success of this programme.

First Communion  Sunday 15 th May  Parish Centered- “Do this in Memory of Me” programme  Parents can help with learning prayers from weekly Alive O homework.

The World Around Us Children will have experience of : Discussion Making Observations Developing Manipulative Skills Prediction Recording Evaluation Topics covered this year are: Trees Energy WW2 Transport Journeys

The Arts and Physical Education Music There is a well-developed programme of music in the school. In year four the children will be tested for individual tuition on instruments and have the opportunity to join the Junior Choir. PE Children have two half-hour sessions of PE per week in school. PE for both classes is on Monday & Tuesday. They will learn: Games Gymnastics Dance Athletics
