Preparation order? 1st: body 2nd: conclusion 3rd: introduction

Steps for preparing the body List subtopics (brainstorm). Narrow subtopics. Arrange subtopics in a logical order. Develop each subtopic with information or proof.

What’s in a conclusion? Brief review of purpose Summary of main points Memorable remark: Leave audience thinking about what’s been said

What’s in an introduction? Attention-getting “hook”-- catch listeners’ interest –A story –A startling fact, quote –(Don’t overuse a question) Preview of the body
