I NTRODUCTION What is an e-portfolio? A living collection of materials assembled over time to document and demonstrate an individual’s best work. When do you use an e-portfolio? Any time you want to showcase your best work, such as: Job Interviews Performance Reviews Application processes (such as college applications) Promotional Opportunities

W HAT DO YOU WANT YOUR E-P ORTFOLIO TO SAY ABOUT YOU ? Considerations Who is your target AUDIENCE? What do you want your e-portfolio to SAY ABOUT YOU? When do you want to USE your e-portfolio? Cultivate your message to speak to your audience Author an introduction. Write an opening message to your reader introducing yourself

O UTLINE Create an outline that you will insert into your e- portfolio depicting a logical transition of thoughts ORGANIZE, ORGANIZE, ORGANIZE! Determine what you want to share Collect your materials Categorize your materials Create a road map – how do you want your reader to “travel” your portfolio?

B EGIN CREATING Select a e-portfolio tool and sign up! Create multiple pages to match the “map” you created, beginning with an introduction After you’ve created the appropriate pages, begin inserting the “evidence” you’ve selected to feature. PROOF, PROOF, PROOF!!! Ask a friend to proof Publish online.
