Ecclesiastes 12:1 youth

Ecclesiastes 12:1 …in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;”

Remember = be mindful  Keep God in Mind  With a view of serving Him  Obey God Youth - in the days  Creator and preserver  No guarantee of the future  Give their whole life to God  May not have interest in old age

Eccl 12:1 ASV “Remember also thy Creator in the days of thy youth, before the evil days come, and the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;” Also implies… Something had been said earlier

Ecclesiastes 11: Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment. 10. Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away evil from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity. 12:1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;

Old Age - v. 2-7 In our youth “I have no delight in them” War between flesh and spirit Gal. 5:16-17 Gal. 5:24-25

Do not have to learn everything from experience God gave us the Bible Romans 15:4 “For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. ”

Tried everything for happiness  Laughter and pleasure  Strong drink  Building houses  Planting vineyards  Gardens and orchards  Servants and maidens  Great riches “All was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.” 2:11

His conclusion Ecclesiastes 12: Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.

2 Timothy 2:22 “Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity,(love) peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.”  Flee - the evil  Follow - the pure Sexual sins, drinking and drugs, money matters, cheating, profanity

I must stand in the presence of God, and be judged for what I did while upon the earth !
