DPA UPScaleTM: Essential questions : Is a double conversion , true on-line UPS essential for you? Is a decentralized UPS control important for you? Is a small or smallest foot print important for you? Is efficiency important to you? Is future power expansion without extra installation important for you? 27 March 2011 DPA UPScale

DPA UPScaleTM: Essential questions : Is the module and UPS weight an important feature for you ? Do you appreciate having individual displays for each module ? Is it a benefit for you having just one person (instead of two) to replace or add a module ? Is front access compulsary ? 27 March 2011 DPA UPScale

DPA UPScaleTM: Essential questions : Having flexible battery block no. for better sizing of autonomy times. Is this important for you ? Having a separate battery for each individual module increases the overall availability as opposed to a common battery. Is this important for you ? Having a variety of cabinets increases the flexibility of choice. Is this a benefit for you ? How important is the efficiency and TCO for you ? 27 March 2011 DPA UPScale

Safe-Swap Modular Architecture Safe-swap, is a term used to refer to hot insertion and removal of modules from a host system without removing power. In a redundant Power Protection System Safe-swap is achieved only if a faulty module may be replaced without interrupting the power to the load (application) and w/o having to transfer the load (application) to the raw mains (by-pass). Employing appropriate hot swap techniques highly available power protection systems with ease of scaling and easy fault recovery can be created. 27 March 2011 DPA UPScale

Safe-Swap modules The DPA UPScaleTM Modules are fully independent and are composed of all major hardware and firmware building blocks: CPU (Central Processing Unit) All power circuits (rectifier, inverter, battery charger) Static switch and static switch control Power Management Control Panel In-built Display Static Switch Control unit Display Rectifier Booster Inverter Battery 27 March 2011 DPA UPScale

Topology Class VFI-SS–111 High Availability To achieve near-zero downtime and avoid very costly consequences of disruption of Mission Critical Applications, advanced Modular Power Protection Architectures with High Availability must be employed.
