Mrs. Weiss 7 th Grade Common Core Math

Mrs. Weiss – Room 101 Phone: Website: (click on Math and find my name) Aeries: (information will be coming soon!) Class Dojo: Required Supplies to bring EVERY DAY to class: Sharp Pencil (work must be done in pencil….not pen!) Lined Looseleaf Paper (not torn from a notebook) Other very helpful supplies to bring: Colored pencils or highlighters Rulers Graph paper

7th Grade Common Core Math will be a combination of textbook work, classwork, projects and computer work. Students will rarely receive homework for this class except for studying for quizzes or tests. Therefore, I expect students to come to class everyday ready to learn and work hard. There should be no excuses for students having any missing assignments since these are done IN CLASS! If students are absent, it is THEIR responsibility to come see me for make-up work. I am usually available for any extra help at lunch and after school.

Please check my website for updated information about this class. Assignments, useful links and important announcements will be posted on this website. Sign up for Class Dojo to monitor your student’s classroom behavior. Instructions for signing up came home with your student today. If you sign up for Class Dojo and return the bottom portion of the form signed, your student will receive 5 Class Dojo points! The points are used to earn cool prizes! Negative consequences will result in lunch and after school detention, phone calls home and if necessary, school referrals. Sign up for Aeries to keep track of your student’s grades. (Sign up information will be coming home soon)

How fast can you go????

 1. Greet Mrs. Weiss with eye contact and a greeting.  2. Take any handouts that are on the small table.  3. Quietly sit down at your seat and get out a piece of paper, a sharp pencil, and your agenda.  4. Begin the Bell Work.

1. What if I forgot my pencil? I will lend you a pencil, but there will be a penalty for that. 2. What if I forgot to bring paper? There will be paper available on the small table that you may use with no penalty….as long as you do this before the bell rings.

CLASS DOJO POINT OPPORTUNITY 1. Cut off the bottom portion of the Class Dojo handout. 2. Keep the top portion for your information. 3. Return the bottom portion of the Class Dojo handout to Mrs. Weiss by tomorrow. 4. If your parent/guardian has signed up to receive Class Dojo reports and has signed the bottom portion of the form, you will receive 5 Class Dojo points!!

1. Make sure your desk is back where it belongs. 2. Gather your belongings and your completed exit ticket. 3. Stand quietly next to your desk. 4. Keeping your hands to yourself, quietly wait until it is your row’s turn to give Mrs. Weiss your exit ticket and exit the classroom. (We start with the row farthest from the door) 5. Keeping your hands to yourself, quietly wait outside the classroom against the wall until the bell rings and then you are excused.
