Recreation. Costa Rica has beautiful beaches, lakes and rivers all around the amazing island.
Historic Sites. Costa Rica has a lot of history embedded in it. The Cartago ruins which are dated back to the 16th century can be found in the city's central park.
Cultural. Costa Rica is a very rich country in terms of traditions. Being a blend of different cultures its hard to point out one only. But some general customs are; Costa Ricans are famous for observing Tico time, known locally as "la hora tica." Costa Ricans habitually arrive late, often by 30 minutes or more, to dinner, appointments, and get-togethers
Shopping. Costa Rica is pretty urbanized when it comes to shopping. They have shopping malls just like other modernized countries. Costa Rica multiplaza mall is located in San Jose.
Entertainment. Costa Rica is entertainment central! From great music to dance shows it will “wow” you.
Ethnic Food. Costa Rican cuisine is hearty, savory and always satisfying. While it doesn’t have the spice of Mexican or the grilled skewered meats of Argentinean food, it has a style all its own: like an easy chair or a meal from your grandmother's kitchen, Costa Rican cuisine is always there for you at the end of a long day.
Restaurants. Although majority of Costa Ricans will prefer home cooked meals, their restaurants are just as good! A prime example is “Don Rufino”. Known for its amazing home-style meals. It is definitely a place to dine.
