Weddings and More …. The Launch party By Betania Ducasse

THE IDEA  To create an event that will start off Mi-Ray Events.  To hand out as much information as possible about the business.  To introduce the business to the community.  To network with local vendors, caterers, photographers, and other local businesses that will help spread the word and help promote Mi-Ray Events as well as help gain future clients.  To pull in an audience of POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS, and enlist those that can potentially refer others as well.

NETWORKING PLAN  The networking plan for this event and the business itself, will consist of sending out daily web ads through social networks such as instagram, facebook, and twitter. We will also be sending direct mail to vendors with printed invites. We will be posting ads on local magazines and newspapers. We will be handing out flyers every two days until the last two weeks of the event where the flyers will be daily.  Calls will be made to confirm attendants based on the private invites and s.  The target audience will be very broad and open to all and anyone that would like to make a fierce event by making their vision a reality.

Roll Out The White Carpet: For the entrance, we want to create a winter glam entrance, by surrounding the entrance with White branches lit with ice blue led floor lights to give it a winter feel. We will be having Photographers at the entrance to give our guest a real feel of a red carpet event. This will help our guest experience the glamour of the night and feel how important they are to us. Our customers will be treated as if they were paying for a million dollar event. No matter what the price of service they ask for. arrival

Main entrance will have Photographers Once inside there will be a DJ for music Side entrance of the event will have brochures and packets with business information and business cards Raffles and games with winning prizes being a free event planning service for one event for the raffle winner. Game winners will get $50 gift certificate for a photo session with one of our vendors and a $50 dinner gift certificate courtesy of our catering vendors Local wedding dress store will have eight of their models, model wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses and groom attire. Local caterers will be helping with appetizers and cocktail drinks Different sections will have different components that help construct the planning concept of the planned events.

For décor, centerpieces will be white two layer trays with white, crystal white and ivory ornaments, large snowflakes for surround. The table will also include business brochures. Other centerpieces will be sets of big snow flakes as a stand. The set up will be hanging crystals, white vases with white branches, blue led lights to enhance the winter look inside. White table cloths with an ice blue lace cloth over. Large snow like flakes for the snow fall effect and M R E initials on the middle of the dance floor. atmosphere

Section one will be an all sweets table. Winter blue candy canes, cupcakes, mini cakes, lollipops, white chocolate covered mints, cookies etc. atmosphere

Next section will have a photographer taking pictures of guest with Mi-Ray Event wall banner as background. Service from photography will be provided by one of our photography vendors. We want to introduce ourselves to local vendors and have them get a feel of working with us along with knowing who we are.

Third section will be the dinner buffet table, catered by two of our catering vendors. Two different types of food cuisines. Ex: Spanish style buffet and Italian Buffet. Keeping the Latin Feel, however completely different cultures. Appetite

Amusement DJ for dancing: The DJ will keep guest on party mode as drinks and appetizers are being served. DJ will also be making announcements containing information of Mi-Ray Events. Raffles and games: This part of the night will help us entice our guest into participating in activities that will allow them to win items that can introduce them to local vendors through gift cards and services. Wedding attire as a runway walk through: Local bridal shop will have a quick fashion show like runway walk just to show off the type of gowns carried in the store, this also helps the launch party with its intended theme of a winter wonderland event.

All though dancing will be going on as well, we will be making announcements and speeches introducing Mi-Ray Events. We will also be thanking the vendors that have agreed to work with us. Each guest before leaving will be gifted with a small gift bag. Inside will be business information, such as brochures, business cards, flyers for our upcoming bridal shows so that they may also come visit us at out booth during the event, event planning calendar’s, checklists and a mini desert in a box with edible wedding bands as toppings from local cake vendors. We will also hand out scented candles in the bags with engraved business name, event calendars with up coming projects with the business name and logo, along with event agendas and thank you cards. appreciation

The last section essentially will be placed to look as the first and main table. This table will have everything relating to Mi-Ray Events, that will help guest learn more about the business, who we are and the how to reach us. Betania Ducasse, 31-yrs old born in the Dominican Republic raised in New York City from the age of 2. Mother of two boys ages 3 and 6 and celebrating 10 years of marriage. Ducasse graduated from George Washington High School in 1998 and earned her Associates Degree in Business Administration. Ducasse later worked in Banking field for six years. Keeping Budget was major in her line of work. Ducasse picked up event planning three years ago as a hobby to help those around her like friends and other loved ones plan their events while also working as a part time event coordinator at an after school program where here she would plan and coordinate events such as fashion shows, school party’s and gatherings as well as holiday events. She has officially been in the industry as her main career for less than one year. In her spare time Ducasse likes spending time with her family. Working out with her husband and friends, running with her kids in the park and taking road trip from time to time as well as planning out all family outings and vacations. “With the help of the Wedding Planning Institute I was able to obtain my wedding and event planning certificate.
