How to Begin… Prepare a list of every source you cited and actually used in your paper. If your source cards were written correctly, this will be easy.

Guidelines Place the Works Cited section at the end of your paper on a separate page. Alphabetize the list, using the author’s last name. If there is no author, use the title’s first main word. Ignore A, An, The. Type page 1 one half inch from the top on the right hand corner.

Cont.… Center the title Works Cited one inch from the top. Double space before the first listing. List the first item against he left-hand margin. If there are more lines, indent them an additional five spaces. Double space between entries.
