Mathematics – Period 4  I felt Successful in this class because: I was able to get all my homework done. I got high test scores.  I feel this class Challenged me by: It was hard for me to pay attention. Sometimes, the math was confusing  I selected this assignment from this class because: It was a high grade. I felt accomplished.  My Reflections on this class: I learn best in this class when… I focus and block out what is going on around the classroom. The things I’ve learned in this class will help me… in a certain job. I look forward to… when I can master the math problems.

I felt Successful in this class because:  I got all of my assignments done.  I had a lot of fun. I feel this class Challenged me by:  Having me do outside reading.  Trying to pay attention while reading a novel. Social Studies – Period 6  I felt Successful in this class because:  I learned a lot.  I got a good grade.  I feel this class Challenged me by:  Making me memorize locations.  Thinking deeply.  I selected this assignment from this class because:  It was my best work.  It was challenging.  My Reflections on this class:  I learn best in this class when… we have class discussions.  The things I’ve learned in this class will help me… when I travel around the world.  I look forward to… learning about cultures.

Science – Period 2 I felt Successful in this class because: I showed up and got a good grade. I learned a lot about cells. I feel this class Challenged me by: Paying attention. I had to study hard. I selected this assignment from this class because: It was fun to learn about. It challenged me. My Reflections on this class: I learn best in this class when… I come ready to learn. Computer Tech – Period 5 /Term 1  I felt Successful in this class because: I had a lot of fun. I understood a lot about computer programs.  I feel this class Challenged me by: Having me follow specific directions. Writing letters in proper format.  I selected this assignment from this class because: It is very cool. It showed my computer skills.  My Reflections on this class: I learn best in this class when… I follow directions. The things I’ve learned in this class will help me… the rest of my life with computers. I look forward to… learning about more computer programs.

 I felt Successful in this class because:  I am good at sports.  I met a lot of new people.  I feel this class Challenged me by:  Challenged my physical ability.  Making me run.  I selected this assignment from this class because:  It was exciting.  I accomplished it.  My Reflections on this class:  I learn best in this class when… I try.  The things I’ve learned in this class will help me… excersise better.  I look forward to… when we start playing volleyball.  Sports are fun!!! GYM – PERIOD 1 /TERM 2

Students will access the Student-led Conference Presentation template by going to: From “kmbarton.wikispaces.com” students access the file and save it to their local computer. Open individual student Google Docs account and upload this template to Google Docs. File can be worked on here at school or at home following instructions on next slide.

 Have one assignment/project sample for EACH class  Develop PowerPoint using the Student-led Conference template  7 th & 8 th graders will use PowerPoint  Freshmen may use either PowerPoint or the graphic presentation program in Google Docs (online)  Use correct spelling, grammar and punctuation  Presentation basics:  Use a background or design template  Text font must be readable in style and color (good color contrast with background/ design template)  Use slide transitions (3 or less)  Animation of slide objects optional (but if limited to 3 or less kinds of animation)  NO music or sounds Students will delete these last two slides after they have completed preparing their presentation.
