Essential Question What do artifacts tell us about the culture of ancient Egyptian civilization and modern society?

Activating Strategy The year is 5011 A.D. Archeologists have just discovered a site in Chambersburg which dates to the early 21 st century: Based on our artifacts, what will these people be able to tell about life in the present day? What will they think is most important and/or valuable to us?

What is an artifact? Definition: A material object of culture such as a tool, article of clothing, or prepared food
