Station 1 – Knot Tying Demonstrate tying the following: Square knot Taut-line hitch Clove hitch Two half hitches Bowline List examples of where each of these could be used.

Station 2 – Map & Compass Demonstrate how to orient the map with the orienteering compass. Do you need to adjust for declination when travelling? Provide the Azimuth reading and estimated distance for travelling from Point 3 to Point 4.
