Revelation 20:1-3 Satan is bound What does that mean? He is limited Bound for a purpose “So that he could not deceive the nations” He could not consolidate all nations under one world government This limitation to last 1000 years Symbolic for a good, long while (10 x 10 x 10)

Revelation 20: years is also time of martyred saints’ reign Is not length of Christ’s rule Is not length of all saints’ rule Not on earth Only those who were beheaded for Christ rule with Christ for 1000 years v.4 All others still dead v.5 Symbolic, figurative resurrection Ephesians 2:5-6 Under the alter Rev. 6:9-11 raised to be on thrones with Christ Rev. 20:4-6

Ruling with Christ All Christians are kings and priests Rev. 1:5-6 All Christians have been raised with Christ Ephesians 2:4-6 This has already happened (spiritual reality) The symbolic resurrection was future from the time John saw it Rev 1:1-3 Limited to those who were killed for Christ because they did not worship Satan’s beast in Rev. 13 Not for all those in Christ who died of natural causes 1 Thess. 4:13-18

The Last Day Believers will be raised “on the last day” John 6:40 All in the graves (physically dead) will be raised at the same hour John 5:27-30 Death is destroyed then 1 Corinthians 15:23-26 Jesus’ rule ends (not begins) with His return All will be judged John 12:48 No time for two physical resurrections or literal 1000 year rule on earth, etc.

Revelation 20:7-10 Satan is released after 1000 years He will deceive the nations, consolidate all authority into one worldwide government In this political climate, people say, “Peace and safety.” 1 Thess. 5:1-3 In this political climate no war results in prosperity With prosperity comes spiritual complacency Rev. 3:14-23; Matthew 24:12,37-39; 2 Peter 3:9 The end will come suddenly

Revelation 20:11-15 All will be raised and judged All that matters is having your name in the Book of Life Death and Hades cast into lake of fire Wicked cast into lake of fire (baptism of fire, second death) Rev. 21:8 Righteous live with God 21:1-7; 22:1-5; WHERE WILL YOU BE FOREVER?
