2 SPS Primer What is the Form 10? Internal Approval Form Evidences existence of Sponsored Program Basic document that allows Sponsored Programs to establish file. Used to protect interests of University, College, Center, Department and Investigator. Provides necessary authorization for submission of proposals

Provides necessary certifications -Required by the Sponsor and University -Protects the University -Protects the PIs and departments Data collection Provides mechanism by which all interested University offices are made aware of sponsored projects related activities

Verify that Proposal is true and accurate Confirm that appropriate proprietary rights are protected Approval of Chair, Directors and Deans signifies: –Commitment of Resources –Waiver of F & A –Adherence to CU policies –Cost Sharing –Project consistent with Department/College priorities
