What is the Poole & Purbeck Platform? A fusion of parties who have a common interest in the Poole & Purbeck region. These Parties constitute the Poole & Purbeck Community… the core of the platform.

The Poole & Purbeck Community Made up of: Professionals, Agencies, Consultancies, Students, Researchers, Scientists, Schools and the General Public. Identifying the big questions relating to the region’s rich biodiversity and heritage of the past, present and future. Established through an online platform, the Poole & Purbeck Portal…

The Poole & Purbeck Portal A critical mass of interest in a fairly small geographical area. Providing a forum for businesses to link with the student community. A shop window for BU Students & Staff excellence. A professional interface between businesses & the public, regional stakeholders, students and staff.

The Poole & Purbeck Portal Advertise job/placement opportunities for BU students in the region. Allow students and graduates to create profiles to showcase their CVs and skills. Allow the general public to raise questions that the consortium will respond to. Provide updates on current research, activities, events, news and links to related initiatives.

What we are looking for… Members of this community who can provide in-kind support to our student community, such as… Preferential placements to BU students. Independent Research Projects for final year students.

Benefits for stakeholders A presence on the Portal itself. -from a corporate perspective it is valuable to be seen supporting regional conservation and heritage. Potentially increasing Graduate retention in the area, therefore reducing the skills shortage that Dorset is currently experiencing.
