2 History Standard Heritage 4. Recognize state and federal holidays and explain their significance

3 Objective To have my students better understand the different holidays and what they mean To have my students know what holidays come on which month

4 Activities Have each student prepare a calendar and decorate it with all the different holidays, and have them take it home to have forever

5 Materials Paper with all the holidays on it, construction paper, blank calendar, markers, colored pencils, stickers, and glitter
