General Surgery RRC approved- two residents and 14 interns Opportunity for research year cases per chief resident 80 cases per intern year 10% chief residents do fellowships 100% pass American Board of Surgery Exams over the last 10 years

General Surgery Rotations General and Vascular General and Thoracic General surgery Orthopedics Neurosurgery Internal Medicine Pediatric surgery Leigh Memorial Ob/Gyn Urology Trauma Emergency Room Plastic surgery

General Surgery Call Every third to fourth night ER consults General surgery ward Specialty wards Trauma call is every other night

General Surgery Staff 19 current staff and 5 TAD staff One pediatric surgeon One oncologic surgeon One thoracic surgeon 2 vascular surgeons 4 colon and rectal surgeons 2 trauma surgeons

General Surgery Summary Broad range of complex and routine medical conditions Extensive endoscopic experience Operative experience for junior residents and interns as primary surgeon Intern experience trains them to care for the critically ill as well as prepares them for the spectrum of injuries seen as a GMO
