 Great job using the star!!  Some of your were even implicitly explicit.  Thesis statements were killer!!

 Do not use the word you. › What other words could we use? › How could we make our writing more interesting by not using you? › Why is using you not recommended?

 Paragraphs should be approximately 7 sentences › Why does it matter if we answer how and why? › When do we know if we should ask and answer the how and why questions?

 You have to master the rules before you can break them. › You’ve mastered writing sentences, so fragments are nice when used intentionally. › Run-on’s—we’ve not mastered how to NOT have run-on sentences.  What makes a run-on?  How do we fix it?

 Why is syntax important?  How can we improve in this area?

 WE WANT OUR WRITING TO COME TO LIFE! › What is appropriate diction for a rhetorical analysis? › Why must we be intentional in using diction? › How could we improve?

 What does this mean?  How can we check for it?  Why does it matter?
