Views Normal View Outline View Slide View Slide Sorter View Slide Show Microsoft PowerPoint comes with different views to help you while you are creating a presentation. The two main views you use in PowerPoint are normal view and slide sorter view. To easily switch between views, you click the buttons at the lower left of the PowerPoint window.
Adding text Most often, the easiest way to add text to a slide is to type it directly into any placeholder on the slide. If you want to add text outside a placeholder or shape, you can use the Text Box button on the Drawing toolbar. You can also add text to an AutoShape or add a WordArt drawing object for a special text effect.
Sorting/Duplicating/Deleting In slide sorter view, you see the entire presentation displayed in miniature. You can add slide transitions and preview slide transitions, animations, and timings. On the View menu, click Slide Sorter Click Slide Sorter View at the lower left of the PowerPoint window.
Sorting/Duplicating/Deleting In normal or slide sorter view, select the slide or slides you want to duplicate. On the Insert menu, click Duplicate Slide.
Sorting/Duplicating/Deleting In normal or slide sorter view, select the slide you want to delete. On the Edit menu, click Delete Slide. Tip To delete multiple slides, hold down SHIFT while you click the slides, and then click Delete Slide.
Insert a New Slide On the Insert menu, click New Slide. Scroll through the layouts, click the one you want, and then click OK
Auto Layout - Design Templates Design templates contain color schemes, slide and title masters with custom formatting and styled fonts, all designed to create a particular look. When you apply a design template to your presentation, the slide master, title master, and color scheme of the new design replaces the slide master, title master, and color scheme of the original presentation. After you apply a design template, each slide you add has the same custom look.
Auto Layout - Design Templates Open the presentation you want to apply a different design to. On the Format menu, click Apply Design Template. Find and select the design you want to use — or any presentation whose design you want to use — and then click Apply. Tip If you want to apply the design of a presentation instead of a design template, but you don't see it in the file list, make sure you have the correct option selected on the Show pop-up menu.
Auto Run On the Slide Show menu, click Set Up Show. Select the Loop continuously until 'Esc' check box.
Printing On the File menu, click Print. On the pop-up menu that contains the word General, click Microsoft PowerPoint. If the dialog box does not include this pop-up menu, continue to the next step. On the Print what pop-up menu, click the item you want to print. Tip To print frames around your slides, select the Frame Slides check box.
