D.A.I.S.Y. Mission Statement: Non for profit Provide innovative digital learning resources Support digital learning in primary and secondary schools throughout the State of Kansas

D.A.I.S.Y. Vision Statement Support and promote equity Stimulate motivation and self-esteem prepare students for the future Exploring technology capabilities will provide students with limitless possibilities for the future!

Why the need? Digital divide “ Digital divide does not simply describe the division between technology “ haves ” and “ have nots ” but addresses inequalities in technology and learning ” (Valadez & Duran, 2007, pg 34).

Job Descriptions Board Chair: A volunteer, 3 year term, apply if interested. Must be interested in providing technology and digital learning systems to schools. Must have experience in technology or education, with experience in non-profit work. Experience serving under-privileged or under-funded populations would be useful. Board Member: Volunteer, 3 year term, apply if interested, positions.. Must be interested in providing technology and digital learning systems to schools. Must have experience in technology or education, with experience in non-profit work. A background in business, finance, technology, education, non-profit work, or related field is required.

Job Descriptions Director: Paid position. Hold at least a Masters degree, PhD preferred in a business or management field. Background in education or technology is very important. Must have great interpersonal and communication skills. Five to ten years experience in non-profit situation required. Will be responsible for communicating between the board and employees. Technology Contact: Paid position. Must hold a bachelors in technology or business. Experience in working in non- profit situations useful. Needs to have great interpersonal and professional skills. Sales background is helpful.

Job Descriptions PR/Advertising/Marketing Rep: Paid position. Bachelors in advertising or marketing required. Will oversee website development and maintenance individual. Background in non- profit useful. School District Contact: Must hold at least a bachelors in education. Strong communication skills. Travel is required. Must be able to manage working with several clients at once. Must be willing to take on supervisory role.

Job Descriptions Evaluation and Application Manager: Part-time position. Responsible for mailing applications and evaluations, organizing application materials, and helping decide eligibility. Office experience is required. CFO/Accountant: Must hold at least a Masters in finance or accounting. Responsible for managing the operations budget of a non-profit organization; a background in non-profit finance is required. Responsible for overseeing members of a fundraising department.

Job Descriptions Fundraising coordinator: Must hold at least a bachelors in communications, with strong interpersonal and professional skills. Experience in project management extremely beneficial. Background in event coordination a plus.

Timeline Hiring of staff: 3months Initial contacts with equipment donors: 3-4 months Application acceptance from the start. Implication of program may take 7-12 months.
