An opportunity for growth

 In one word, I feel ___________ about my test results.  I spent ________ minutes preparing for the test.

 I am pretty good at these targets I got right (list):  I missed QUESTION #___ from target #___  I lost ____ points for this target  Repeat for as many errors as you made on the test  I got ____ number of targets wrong because of a “simple mistake.”

 I need to keep learning and would like to retake target(s) #  MY PLAN to improve learning is:  Check my notes with another student and review them longer  Have my parent quiz me  Re-read the chapter and section  Practice with the section assessment and reading check Q’s  Other: I WILL START DOING THIS ON: I MUST HAVE IT COMPLETE BY: TUESDAY Sept. 9

 For each missed target you would like to retake, explain what you know about the target that you didn’t understand before in your own words (not textbook words). As much as possible, show me you are ready to retake by explaining how your understanding has changed from the first test. (I used to think…)  The quality of this writing will determine if you can retake the target or not, so be complete and thoughtful  Acquire a parent signature and let them know you want to retake before/after school on Wed 9-10.

 Identify targets for more time and practice  Complete the practice  Write out what you did wrong and then tell what you now understand differently and better  Parent signature  Turn in by Tuesday Sept 9  Retake before/after school Sept 10
