About The Cosby Show The Cosby Show is a classic African- American television sitcom that aired on NBC for eight seasons from the 1980s to the 1990s starring Bill Cosby as a gynecologist Dr. Cliff Huxtable and his attorney wife Clair Huxtable. The Cosby Show is known to have won many Emmys and Golden Globe awards for educating the public through entertainment on how the ideal family should relate to each other. Most of the topics however, were centered on the real life stories of Bill Cosby.

The Cosby show is my favorite TV show of all times because its main focus is to portray positive child rearing methods and the difficulties of dealing with children growing up and helping them make wise decisions. At the same time it also illustrates the importance of the family in the life of a child and how to develop relations among family members.

Children are taught to think through their decisions and understand the consequences for their actions. They are reminded that they can’t always have things their way and every decision in life affects the future. The Cosby Show also presents interesting and simple methods of teaching important values and lessons to children. It clearly allows then to get first hand insight into all aspects of life such as education, as necessary for now and the future. ch?v=iypOv2BaLx0

The Cosby Show has portrayed the importance of family time by giving children the opportunity to express themselves at the family table and many other family moments. A moment of sharing with each other draws the family closer together and help build a stronger relationship between siblings and parents – children relationships. It never fails to illustrate that discipline should be given with firmness and love and in the end family should always come first.

 The Cosby Show has been my favourite TV show not only because of the lessons I have learnt from it but it can also be used as a great family TV time.  I would recommend this show for families to sit and watch together.
