Features of C-Cube What is it? A collaboration tool –Internet-based –Real time –Password-protected –Accessible to invited members –“Point and click” method
Features of C-Cube Who can use it? Any community in general –Communities of Practice (formal) –Other formal “communities” (e.g. project teams, workgroups, task forces, etc.) –Informal networks
What can C-Cube do? Coordinate tasks and events through project management tools such as calendar and tasks tools Communicate ideas and insights through publishing, chat, and discussion forums
What can C-Cube do? Collaboration with members in different locations through document sharing, discussion forums, and online meeting/conference

Workshop 1 1. Define main navigation or table of contents of your C-Cube website 2. Create appropriate folder: For soliciting feedback (commenting, validating, discussion, etc.), create DISCUSSION folder** For storage and easy retrieval of information, create SIMPLE LIST folder** Use ORDERED LIST for sub-folders**

Create appropriate folder: For displaying static information or content with lasting value, create HEADLINE folder* (if you want information in ppt form, create SLIDESHOW)* 3.Create appropriate page: To upload a document for commenting,* displaying or storage*, use SIMPLE page or a modified page (FORMS)** To upload static information, use IMPORTED page**
Workshop 1 3.Create appropriate page: Use Word, Excel and Ppt page, only if you prefer drafting a document straight on C- Cube as saving the file also means automatic uploading and conversion of data into html format. Use Multiple Imported page, only if you are sure filenames correspond to document titles C-Cube Do’s and Dont’s**
For Sept 14 session Take advantage of OIST’s on-call assistance Conduct initial consultation on your information architecture, and functional requirements for C-Cube Start drafting your Requirements Definition Report
Post-training Activities Continue consultation on information architecture and other requirements Clean-up and organize Table of Contents Add Basic Contents (Welcome pages, user guide, etc.) Continue content and structure build Plan User Memberships/Groupings, and add Members and Group placeholders Get Management feedback/approval on pilot design Get approval for Production release (RITS) Finalize RDR Site Information - Launch and Promotions Production site improvements
