U.S. Department of Agriculture eGovernment Program Promote and improve nutritional habits and food security. 1.2 Enhance efficiency, profitability and commercial viability of agriculture producers and expand agriculture trade 1.3 Increase the capability of rural communities to benefit from eGovernment to improve their livelihood. 1.4 Provide the tools and resources the American public needs to benefit from and preserve natural resources and the environment. Goal 1: Citizens Expand the reach and effectiveness of USDA’s programs for citizens through eGovernment. USDA Revised eGovernment Goals and Objectives Comments/Questions/Suggestions Goal 1: Objectives Unresolved Questions or Issues  How should we include the notion of user-friendliness?  Should we address using eGovernment to enhance communication tools and resources?  The objectives for goal one do not follow the same pattern as goals two and three. For example, goals two and three seem to use eGovernment for activities such as education, business transaction, and collaboration. However, goal one centers around mission-oriented activities. Should the objectives be restructured to mirror those in goals two and three? Revisions Since Distribution  Objective 1.1  Objective 1.2
