Family Night Helping families have fun and get involved in education

Overview Parents will have a chance to positively interact with teachers in a fun environment Families will learn skills that they can do at home to help reach academic success You can assess family’s understanding of concepts Families will become familiarized with some of the technology used

First Part of the Schedule TimeWhatWhere 5:30-6:00 Introduction to the day: Parents get Game Cards, Raffle cards, and schedules. Administrators welcome,explain the event, and introduce the prizes. Families eat. Library or Gym

Game Cards 1. EACH FAMILY WILL GET A BINGO CARD 2. UPON ARRIVAL, FAMILIES WILL BE GIVEN TEN INITIAL TERMS THAT THEY CAN PLACE ON THE CARD: 3. Quick sample lesson with an article about The Trail of Tears (current social studies topic). Go over the answers on the worksheet, these are the terms that the family can use on their BINGO card.
